La Nacion (The Nation) is a Costa Rican newspaper published daily circulation in San Jose.

The paper was founded on Oct. 12, 1946. At the head of the project were Carballo Sergio Romero as director, Ricardo Castro Beeche as manager and Jorge Salas in the administration. Today La Nacion is a general interest newspaper with a national daily circulation, except Friday and Saturday of Holy Week and January 2.
